Taking a stroll down the beach and enjoying the views & sunshine

When I tell people I’m travelling to Mexico I often get asked “Is it safe?” This question makes me sad as Mexico is such a beautiful country with a vibrant culture and delicious food. To answer the above question simply, “Yes Mexico is a relatively safe destination!” Just remember to be mindful and respectful of your surroundings! So don’t let the reports from the media scare you; take the Mexican vacation if you desire! Not sure where to go? Keep reading to hear my thoughts about Puerto Vallerta.

Puerto Vallarta (or simply PV) is a beach resort town located on the Pacific Ocean. With its proximity to the sea, I find the weather is quite pleasant in the non-summer months. If you aren’t a fan of scorching heat or large crowds travel to PV in October, November or May, however in early fall hurricanes may occur.

Back in February I decided to take an unexpected trip south for a much needed break. My parents love Mexico and especially PV! They first took me to this beautiful city when I was 1 and we took a number of family vacations here while I was in grade school. This recent trip was my first time back as an adult and I must say I would like to return in the near future!

I find PV boasts a charm and sense of wonder. I love the old cobble stone streets as you travel downtown to the Malecon and old architectural style. Also, as a self proclaimed foodie, PV is home to some of the most delicious food I’ve ever had! Plus the prices are great!

To put it simply, if you enjoy beaches, architecture and food PV should be on your list of places to visit!

If you decide to visit this beautiful historic city, safe travels and enjoy your stay!
